Samantha L. Hoffert

Samantha L. Hoffert, a native of Sandwich, graduated from Eastern Illinois University (EIU) with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a concentration in Fine Arts. While attending EIU, Ms. Hoffert received multiple honors in education. She was also an active member of the Illinois Education Association and the Student Education Association. Ms. Hoffert was also a member of the EIU track team and a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, through which she participated in various charity events including Special Olympics and St. Jude.

While pursuing her teaching career, Ms. Hoffert completed a student teaching cycle in Kindergarten at Willow Creek Elementary School in Woodridge, Illinois. After graduation, she held employment as an Early Reading Interventionist, helping elementary aged students with reading fluency, comprehension, and decoding. Ms. Hoffert also held employment working with ESL (English as a Second Language) students to help improve automaticity of reading, along with comprehension.

Ms. Hoffert loves working with children and is excited to integrate modern techniques in teaching to help children with learning related vision problems and other ocular disorders, as a vision therapist at Brenart Eye Clinic.
