Dr. Crystal L. Hoffert , Optometrist

Crystal Hoffert O.D., a native of Pennsylvania, graduated with Honors from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in Indiana, PA with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science/Pre Optometry. While attending IUP she served as a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honors Fraternity, Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority, and the IUP cheerleading squad. While in college, she volunteered as an optometric technician at Indiana Eye Care and completed an internship at the office of Drs. Tarnoff and Hilliard, both in Indiana, PA.

Crystal Hoffert O.D. chose to attend Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO); a school well known for its unique primary care philosophy, holistic approach, and excellence in modern optometry. While attending PCO, Crystal Hoffert O.D. was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honors Society, optometric tutor for Drexel Medical School, and served as a tutor for Optics, Contact Lens, Human Anatomy, and Clinical Skills. Crystal Hoffert O.D. also spent time as a vision screening volunteer for the Special Olympics and was a member of the American Optometric Student Association. Crystal Hoffert O.D. completed several externships including an extended contact lens rotation at Charleston Eye in Charleston, SC, a medical optometry rotation at Kirk Eye Center in River Forest, IL, a primary care rotation with emphasis in pediatric vision at the office of Drs. Tarnoff and Hilliard in Indiana, PA, and an extended medical optometry rotation at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She has received various honors for clinical excellence.

Crystal Hoffert O.D. graduated from PCO with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science and a Doctorate of Optometry. She is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association, and a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. Crystal Hoffert O.D. is very enthusiastic about joining the Brenart Eye Clinic team. Her areas of special interest include Pediatric Primary Care and Vision Therapy. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Robert Hoffert O.D., at their home in Yorkville.
